Can I Add a Font in Figma?

Yes, you can add a font in Figma. You can either use a local font or a Google Font. To add a local font, go to the File > Add Local Font menu item.

This will open a dialog where you can select the desired font file. To add a Google Font, go to the File > Add Google Font menu item. This will open a dialog where you can select the desired font from the Google Fonts library.

Adding a Font in Figma

You can add fonts to your Figma projects in two ways:

  • Local fonts
  • Google fonts

To add a local font:

  1. Open your project in Figma.
  2. Click on File > Add Local Font. This will open up a dialog box.
  3. Choose the file type of the font you want to add from the drop-down menu. You can select from .otf, .ttf, or .woff2 file types.
  4. Click on the Choose button and select the file from your computer. The name of your chosen file will appear in the File name field.
  5. PRO TIP: Adding a font to Figma is a simple process, but there are a few things to keep in mind. First, make sure you have the rights to use the font. Second, remember that not all fonts will work with Figma. Finally, be aware that adding a font may impact the performance of your project.

  6. Click on the Open button. Your chosen font will now be added to your project!

To add a Google font:

  1. Open your project in Figma.
  2. Click on File > Add Google Font.
  3. Select the desired font from the drop-down menu . You can browse through all available fonts or use the search bar to find a specific one.
  4. Click on the Select button . Your chosen font will now be added to your project!
