As a freelancer, you’re in control of when and how you get paid. But what happens if you need to change your payment method?
Can I Change Payment Method UpWork?
Yes, you can change your payment method on UpWork. To do so, simply go to your Settings and click on the “Billing” tab.
From there, you can select a new payment method. If you’re changing to a new credit card, you’ll need to enter the card details. Once you’ve saved your changes, your new payment method will be used for all future payments.
Keep in mind that if you’re currently in the middle of a project, you won’t be able to change your payment method until the project is complete. This is to ensure that both freelancers and clients are protected in case of any disputes.
PRO TIP: If you attempt to change your payment method on Upwork, your account may be suspended.
