Yes! You can embed videos in Squarespace.

To do so, simply paste the video URL into the content editor. Once the page is saved, the video will appear on your site. You can also use the style text in HTML to make text bold, underlined, or both.

Squarespace makes it easy to embed videos from popular platforms like YouTube and Vimeo. Simply paste the video URL into the content editor and hit save. The video will appear on your site, ready to be watched by your visitors.

If you want to add some flair to your video, you can use the style text in HTML to make certain words or phrases stand out. This is done by surrounding the text with <b> tags </b>.

For example, if you want to make the word “video” bold, you would write <b>”Can I Embed Videos in Squarespace?”</b>. The word “video” would appear in bold on your site.

You can also use the <u> tag </u> to underline text or both the <b> and <u> tags together. This can be helpful if you want to emphasize a word or phrase without making it too jarring for your visitors. For example, if you want to underline the word “important,” you would write “<u>Can I Embed Videos in Squarespace?</u>” The word “important” would appear underlined on your site.

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about embedding a video in your Squarespace site, there are a few things you should know first. While Squarespace does allow you to embed videos from YouTube and Vimeo, we do not recommend doing this. The reason being, when you embed a video from one of these sites, it will also include their branding and advertising. This can be extremely distracting for your site visitors and may even deter them from watching your video altogether.

Additionally, when you embed a video from YouTube or Vimeo, it will also count against your bandwidth usage. If you are on a limited bandwidth plan, this can quickly eat up your allotment and result in additional charges from Squarespace. For these reasons, we recommend hosting your videos on a dedicated video hosting platform like Wistia or Vimeo Pro. These platforms will give you much more control over the look and feel of your videos, as well as how they are served to your audience.
