Most people believe that they can only use the fonts that are available on their computer, but this is not the case. There are a number of ways that you can add new fonts to your computer, and one of them is by using Canva.
Canva is a website that allows you to create designs for various purposes, and one of the features it offers is the ability to upload your own fonts. This means that you can use any font that you have on your computer, as long as it is in a format that Canva can read.
The first thing you need to do is to find the font you want to use. There are a number of sites where you can download free fonts, or you can purchase fonts from sites such as Adobe Fonts. Once you have found the font you want to use, download it and save it to a location on your computer where you will be able to find it easily.
Next, go to the Canva website and sign up for an account. Once you have done this, click on the “Create a design” button and choose the type of design you want to create. For this example, we will choose “Blog Header.”
Once you have chosen the type of design you want to create, click on the “Uploads” button in the left-hand sidebar. Here, you will see an option to “Upload your own fonts.”
Click on this option and select the font file that you downloaded earlier. Canva will then upload the font and make it available for use in your design.
Now that the font is uploaded, you can select it from the list of available fonts when adding text to your design. Simply click on the text box and then click on the font name in the drop-down menu. The font will then be applied to your text.
You can also style your text using HTML tags. For example, if you want to make your text bold, you would add the < b > tag before and after your text. Similarly, if you want to underline your text, you would add the < u > tag before and after your text.
Can I Upload Fonts to Canva?
Yes, you can upload fonts to Canva provided they are in a format which Canva can read such as .ttf or .otf files,. You first need too locate or buy the font file then save it too a location on your computer which is easily accessible like your Documents folder for example.. Open up Canva and sign in or create an account if needed then selecting “Create a Design”, choosing whatever design type from the options provided e.g “Blog Header” for this example,.
Once the design page has loaded fully there will be a side bar on the left hand side with an option which says “Uploads”, clicking this opens up a further drop down menu with an option which says “Upload Your Own Fonts” – select this. This will open up a find box where you will need too locate and select the saved earlier before clicking the open button,. This will upload the selected font to Canva where it’ll appear in the list of available fonts too use on future projects.
