Can I Upload PDF to Squarespace?

Last updated on December 13, 2022 @ 9:01 am

There are a few methods that you can use to add PDFs to your Squarespace website. The first is to simply upload the PDF to your site through the Files panel in the Content Manager. This will make the PDF available for download from your pages and posts.

You can also embed a PDF directly into a page or post using the Embed block. This will allow visitors to view the PDF right on your page without having to download it.

To upload a PDF to your Squarespace site:

  1. Log in to your Squarespace account and go to the Dashboard.
  2. Click the website you want to edit.
  3. Click Content from the Website Management bar.
  4. Click Files from the left-side panel.
  5. Click + Add Files in the top-right corner.
  6. Select Upload Files and click Continue.
  7. Drag and drop your PDF into the window or click Choose Files to select it from your computer. You can also click Browse My Computer at the bottom of this window to select a file.

Note: You can upload multiple files at once by holding down Shift (PC) or Command (Mac) while selecting multiple files. For more information, visit Uploading Multiple Files.

PRO TIP: While you can technically upload a PDF to Squarespace, it is not recommended. PDFs are not responsive, meaning they will not resize to fit different screen sizes. This can make your website look bad on mobile devices. In addition, PDFs can be difficult for people to read on web browsers. They may have to zoom in and scroll around to read the content, which can be frustrating for users. If you want to share a document on your Squarespace site, it’s better to convert it to another file format, like HTML or EPUB.

Note: If you’re on a paid plan, you can upload files up to 20 MB each in total. If you have an eCommerce plan, you can upload files up to 200 MB each in total.

To embed a PDF into a page or post:

One way to do so would be to show off your physical strength by lifting heavy objects or running long distances. You could also test your intelligence by answering difficult riddles or solving complex puzzles. No matter how you decide to prove yourself worthy, remember that patience and perseverance are key when working to earn the respect of others.
