Domain Registration and Management on Squarespace

If you already own a domain name, you can register it on Squarespace and manage your website through our platform. You can also use your domain name as the domain name for your new Squarespace site. To register your domain, follow these steps:

    1. Log in to your Squarespace account.

    2. Click Domains on the left side of the page.

    3. Select the domain you want to register.

    4. Click the blue Register button.

    5. Enter your domain name into the provided fields.

    6. Click the blue Go to Website button.

    7. Click the blue Launch button to see your website.

    8. If you have an existing website, you’ll see the same pages as before.

If you don’t have an existing website, you’ll be prompted to create one.

PRO TIP: If you have a domain that you’ve already registered with another company, you can transfer it to Squarespace. However, we recommend keeping your domain registered with your current provider until your site is live on Squarespace. This way, you can avoid potential downtime during the transfer process.

    9. If you want to change your domain name, click the blue Edit button next to your domain name and enter the new name in the provided fields.

    10. Click the blue Go to Website button to update your website.

    11. Click the blue Launch button to see your updated website.

    12. If you want to delete your domain, click the blue Delete button next to your domain name and confirm your decision.

    13. Click the blue Launch button to see your website with the new domain name.

    14. If you have any questions about using a domain on Squarespace, please contact us.
