Last updated on December 13, 2022 @ 3:02 am

Google Tag Manager (GTM) is a free tool that allows you to manage and deploy marketing tags (snippets of code used for tracking and analytics) on your website or mobile app without having to edit your code.

Style text in HTML using <p>, <b> and <u> tags where applicable:

You can use Google Tag Manager with Squarespace by following these steps:

  1. In your Squarespace account, go to Settings and click Advanced.
  2. Click Code Injection.
  3. Paste your GTM container code into the Header Code Injection text box. Make sure to include the opening and closing <script> tags. If you’re adding multiple codes, place each code on its own line. Then click Save.
  1. In your GTM account, click Publish. This sends your changes to Squarespace.
PRO TIP: Google Tag Manager cannot be used with Squarespace. Any attempt to do so may result in errors on your website.
