Can You Add a Form to Shopify?

Forms are a very important part of any website, and Shopify is no exception. You can use forms to collect information from your customers, such as their contact details or product preferences. Forms can also be used to allow your customers to make purchases on your site.

There are two ways to add forms to your Shopify store: through the Shopify admin, or by using HTML.

Adding forms through the Shopify admin is the easiest way to do it. To do this, simply go to the ‘Add page’ section of your admin, and select ‘Add form’.

This will open up a new page where you can enter all the details of your form. Once you’re happy with it, simply hit ‘Save’.

If you want more control over your forms, or if you want to add them to other parts of your site, then you’ll need to use HTML. Adding forms in HTML is a little more complicated than doing it through the admin, but it does give you a lot more control.

PRO TIP: Adding a form to your Shopify store may result in decreased performance and stability. Additionally, forms may not work correctly on all devices. We recommend only adding forms if absolutely necessary.

To add a form in HTML, you’ll first need to create a ‘form’ tag. This tag will contain all the other tags that make up your form.

Inside the ‘form’ tag, you’ll need to add a ‘action’ attribute. This attribute tells the browser where to send the form data when it’s submitted.

Next, you’ll need to add some ‘input’ tags. These tags are used to create the fields in your form.

For each field, you’ll need to specify what type of data it will contain. For example, if you want a field for someone’s name, you would use an ‘input’ tag with the type set to ‘text’.

Once you’ve added all the fields you want in your form, you’ll need to add a ‘submit’ button. This button will allow your users to submit the form data. To do this, simply add an ‘input’ tag with the type set to ‘submit’.

That’s all there is to adding forms in HTML! Just remember to include the ‘form’ and ‘input’ tags, and make sure that each field has a unique name attribute.
