Can You Add Bullet Points in Figma?

If you’re anything like me, you’re always looking for ways to make your workflow more efficient. One way to do that is to use bullet points in Figma.

Bullet points can be a great way to organize your thoughts and break down a design into smaller, more manageable pieces. They can also be a great way to add visual interest to a design.

Unfortunately, there is no built-in way to add bullet points in Figma. However, there is a workaround that you can use to get the same effect.

Here’s how it works:

1. Create a new frame in Figma (or use an existing one). 2. Place a rectangle inside the frame. The rectangle should be the same width as the frame and about half the height. 3. Place a text box inside the rectangle. The text box should be about the same width as the rectangle and have enough text to fill the entire height of the rectangle. 4. In the text box, type out your bullet points.

To add spacing between each bullet point, press Shift+Enter after each one. 5. To change the color of the bullet points, select the text box and then go to Text > Fill Color in the toolbar. 6. To change the size of the bullet points, select the text box and then go to Text > Font Size in the toolbar. 7. To add more space between the bullet points and the text, select the text box and then go to Text > Line Height in the toolbar. 8. That’s it! You now have bullet points in Figma!

PRO TIP: While Figma does support adding bullet points to text, it is important to be aware that this feature is still in beta and may not work as expected. If you are relying on bullet points in your design, it is recommended to use a different tool or export your design as an image.

As you can see, adding bullet points in Figma is easy once you know how! This technique can be useful for making lists or breaking down a design into smaller parts.
