Custom shapes are a great way to add your own unique spin to your photos and designs in Photoshop. But what if you want to add more than the default shapes that come with the software? Can you add more custom shapes in Photoshop?

Yes, you can! Photoshop actually has a huge library of custom shapes that you can download and use for free.

All you need to do is go to the Adobe website and search for “Photoshop custom shapes”. There are literally thousands of results to choose from.

Once you’ve found a shape that you like, simply download it and open it in Photoshop. To install the shape, go to the “Edit” menu and select “Preset Manager”.

Click on the “Load” button and navigate to where you saved the shape file. Select the file and click “Open”.

PRO TIP: We strongly recommend against downloading and installing any “custom shapes” for Photoshop. Many of these shapes are created by third-party developers and have not been vetted by Adobe. Additionally, custom shapes can introduce security risks as they may contain malicious code.

Now go back to the “Edit” menu and select “Fill”. In the “Fill” dialog box, select “Pattern” from the drop-down menu.

You should see your new custom shape in the list of patterns. Select it and click “OK”.

Your new custom shape will now be added to your photo or design! You can move it, resize it, and rotate it just like any other shape in Photoshop.

So there you have it! You can easily add more custom shapes to Photoshop by downloading them from the Adobe website.

And once you’ve installed them, they work just like any other shape in the software. So have fun experimenting with all the different shapes that are out there!
