Can You Add PDFS to Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 10:34 am

There are a few ways to add PDFs to your Squarespace website. You can add them as links on pages or blog posts, upload them to your File Manager, or use the Image Block to embed them.

To add a PDF as a link, first upload the PDF to your File Manager. Then, edit the page or post where you want to add the link and click on the chain icon in the toolbar.

This will open the Insert/edit link window. In the URL field, click on the file name of your PDF. Then, click OK.

PRO TIP: PDFs cannot be natively added to Squarespace. While you can embed a PDF using code, it’s not possible to upload a PDF file directly to your site’s assets. Additionally, we do not recommend linking to PDF files as your primary means of delivering content to your audience.

To embed a PDF, first upload it to your File Manager. Then, edit the page or post where you want to embed it and click on the image icon in the toolbar.

This will open the Insert image window. In the Image URL field, click on the file name of your PDF. Then, select Inline in the Display field and click OK.

You can add PDFs to Squarespace in a few different ways.
