Can You Add Textures in Canva?

Whether you’re a professional graphic designer or simply someone who wants to create a visually appealing header for their blog, adding textures to your design can give it that extra bit of oomph to make it stand out. And fortunately, with Canva, it’s easy to do!

In Canva, you can find textures under the “Uploads” tab in the left-hand sidebar. Simply click on the “Uploads” tab and then drag and drop your texture file into the interface. Your texture will then be uploaded into Canva and can be used like any other image in the program.

Once you have your texture uploaded, you can add it to any element in your design simply by dragging and dropping it on top of the element.

You can also use the “Fill” tool to automatically fill an entire element with your texture. The “Fill” tool is located in the top toolbar and looks like a paint bucket.

PRO TIP: Canva is a great tool for creating beautiful designs, but it is important to be aware that it does not support textures. This means that if you try to add a texture to your design, it will not appear as intended. If you want to use textures in your designs, we recommend using another program such as Photoshop or Illustrator.

If you want to adjust how much of the texture is showing through, you can use the “Opacity” slider in the right-hand sidebar. The Opacity slider is located under the “Layers” tab. Simply click on the “Layers” tab and then adjust the Opacity slider to your desired setting.

And that’s all there is to adding textures to your designs in Canva! With just a few clicks, you can take your designs from bland to wow.

Adding textures is a great way to make your designs more visually appealing. Canva makes it easy to add textures to your designs with just a few clicks.
