Figma is a great tool for designers, but can you download images from Figma?

The short answer is yes, you can download images from Figma. Figma is a vector-based design tool that allows users to create designs that can be exported as images. Figma supports exporting to various file types, including PNG, JPG, GIF, PDF, and SVG.

To export an image from Figma, first, select the frame that you want to download as an image in the “Layers” section on the left menu.

NOTE: This enables you to specifically select frames to download as images in your design canvas.

From there, go to the Export section under the Design tab, then click on the “+” icon.

In the Export section, open the drop-down menu by clicking on the drop-down arrow. From there, select the image file type to export as. You can choose from either PNG or JPG.

Then click on the “Export” button.

Finally, in the “Save As” window that will appear, select a file location and type in a file name that you prefer. Once done, click on the “Save” button.

PRO TIP: Figma is a great platform for designers to share their work, and downloading designs as images directly from Figma is also possible! If you need to use an image from Figma in your work, you can export it as a PNG or JPG file.
