Can You Embed a Figma Prototype?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 8:08 pm

Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool. It is available as a web app, Windows app, and macOS app.

Figma supports multiple pages and artboards per file. It has a layer-based design workspace with live vector editing, plus the ability to switch between vector and raster modes. Figma also supports exporting to multiple file formats, including SVG, PNG, JPG, and PDF.

So, can you embed a Figma prototype? The answer is yes!

Figma makes it easy to share your prototypes with others by providing a few different options for embedding. You can embed your prototype in an HTML file, in a blog post, or on a web page. The process is simple and only takes a few minutes.

PRO TIP: Figma is a great tool for prototyping, but you should be aware that you can’t embed a Figma prototype directly into a website or app. You’ll need to export your prototype as a video or image, and then embed that into your website or app.

To embed your prototype in an HTML file:

1. Open the prototype you want to share in Figma. 2. Click the Share button in the upper-right corner of the workspace. 3. Click Embed in the left panel of the Share modal.

4. Copy the code provided in the Embed Code section. 5. Paste the code into your HTML file where you want the prototype to appear. 6. Save the HTML file and view it in a web browser to see your embedded prototype!

Embedding your Figma prototype in a blog post or on a web page is just as easy! Simply follow steps 1-5 above, then paste the code into your blog post or web page where you want it to appear.

That’s it! Now anyone can view your Figma prototype without having to sign up for an account or download any software.
