Can You Embed an Iframe in Squarespace?

Yes, you can embed an iframe in Squarespace. To do so, you’ll need to use the Code Block content type. The Code Block lets you add custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to your site.

If you’re not comfortable working with code, we recommend finding a developer or designer to help you with this. We don’t offer support for custom code changes.

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about embedding an iframe in Squarespace, think again! While it is technically possible to do so, it is not recommended as it can lead to a number of problems down the road. First and foremost, iframes can introduce security vulnerabilities on your site. Secondly, they can cause issues with your site’s performance and responsiveness. Finally, iframes can make it difficult for search engines to index your content properly. So, while you may be able to get away with embedding an iframe in Squarespace for now, it is not something we would recommend doing.

To add an iframe code block:

  1. In the Home Menu, click Pages.
  2. Click the + icon next to the page where you want to add the code block, then select Code from the drop-down menu.
  3. In the Content Editor, click Code View.
  4. Paste your code into the Code View window and click Apply.

You can also add code directly to individual pages or blog posts using the Code Content Editor. This is useful if you want to embed a video or other content on a specific page. To learn more, visit Adding Custom Code to Individual Pages.
