Can You Embed Google Reviews on Squarespace?

Last updated on March 19, 2023 @ 10:44 am

As a business owner, you know how important reviews are for your company. Google is one of the most popular review sites, so it only makes sense that you would want to embed your Google reviews on your Squarespace website.

The good news is that Squarespace makes it easy to embed Google reviews on your site. All you need to do is add a Google Reviews block to your page. Here’s how:

PRO TIP: If you are planning to embed Google reviews on your Squarespace website, be aware that there are certain risks involved. Google reviews are public and can be seen by anyone, so if you include them on your website, anyone who visits your site will be able to see them. Additionally, if you use Google reviews as part of your website’s content, Google may crawl and index your site, which could lead to your site being penalized by Google.

1. Log in to your Squarespace account and go to the page where you want to add the Google Reviews block.

2. Click on the + Add Block button and scroll down until you find the Google Reviews block.

3. Scroll down until you find the Code block then click on the Code block and a popup will appear.

4. Click on the pen icon to edit the code in the Code block.

5. Enter a code that creates a Google Review widget in your Squarespace Website. You can use platforms such as www.elfsight.com to help you in generating the code.

6. Click on the Done button in the upper-left corner to save your changes.

7. Your Google reviews will now be embedded on your Squarespace page!

NOTE: Try to refresh your website’s page if the widget is not yet loaded.

That’s all there is to it! Embedding Google reviews on Squarespace is a quick and easy way to show potential customers that your business is reputable and trustworthy. If you don’t have any Google reviews yet, be sure to get some before you add the block to your site.
