Can You Export Figma Prototype to PDF?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 9:15 am

Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool which is primarily web-based, although there is a desktop app available for macOS and Windows. It is free to use for individuals, and there is a paid subscription for teams. Figma has been gaining popularity in recent years as an alternative to Adobe products such as Photoshop and Illustrator.

One of the features that sets Figma apart from its competitors is its ability to export prototypes as PDFs. This can be extremely useful for presenting your work to clients or stakeholders, as it provides a more polished and professional look than simply sharing image files.

To export a prototype as a PDF, first make sure that you are in the prototype mode by selecting it from the left-hand panel. Then, click on the share icon in the top-right corner and select PDF. This will open up a new window where you can choose to download the PDF or share it via a link.

There are a few things to keep in mind when exporting prototypes as PDFs. First, only the currently active page will be exported.

If you want to export multiple pages, you will need to do so individually. Secondly, any interactivity within the prototype (such as hover states or animations) will not be included in the PDF export. Finally, keep in mind that the quality of your export will be determined by the resolution of your images – so make sure they are high quality before exporting!

Can You Export Figma Prototype to PDF

Yes, you can export Figma prototypes as PDFs by selecting the ‘prototype’ mode and clicking on the ‘share’ icon in the top-right corner. However, only the currently active page will be exported and any interactivity within the prototype (such as hover states or animations) will not be included in the PDF export.

PRO TIP: There is no such thing as “exporting” a Figma prototype to PDF. You can only take screenshots of the prototype, which will result in low-quality images.
