Figma is a vector graphics editor and design tool, primarily used by web designers and developers. Adobe XD is a vector-based tool for designing and prototyping user experiences for web and mobile apps. So, can you export from Figma to Adobe XD?

The answer is yes! You can export your designs from Figma to Adobe XD.

1. Using the Export button in Figma

One of the ways how we can import a Figma file into Adobe XD is to use the Export option in Figma. First, select the layers to export, then, go to the “Design” tab, and under the Export section, select the “SVG” file type and click on Export.

Next is to open Adobe XD and go to File > Import to select and import the exported layers earlier.

Your Figma design should now be available in Adobe XD.

2. Using the Convertify Plugin in Figma

Another option is to run the Convertify plugin which is available in Figma’s Plugin Resources.

In the Convertify Plugin window, select “Export Figma to Adobe XD” then click on the “Convert Page” button.

Finally, click on the “Download .xd” button to save your file.

PRO TIP: While it is possible to export from Figma to Adobe XD, there are some essential things to keep in mind. First, exporting from Figma will result in a loss of some features and information. Second, Adobe XD may not be able to properly import all of the data from Figma. Finally, there is no guarantee that the exported file will be compatible with all versions of Adobe XD.
