Can You Export PSD From Figma?

Figma is a great design tool for working with teams, and one of its best features is the ability to export designs as PSDs. However, there are some things to keep in mind when exporting from Figma to Photoshop.

PRO TIP: When exporting a file from Figma to a PSD format, there is a chance that some of the layers and/or assets within the file may not be properly exported. This could lead to lost work and/or inconsistency between the two files.

1. When exporting a file from Figma to Photoshop, make sure to export it at the correct size. The default export size is 72 PPI (pixels per inch), but Photoshop uses 300 PPI. To change the export size in Figma, go to File > Export > Export As and select Photoshop from the list of options.

2. Another thing to keep in mind when exporting PSDs from Figma is that text layers will not be exported as editable text layers in Photoshop. To edit text in Photoshop, you’ll need to first rasterize the text layer in Figma. To do this, go to the Layer menu and select Rasterize Layer.

3. Finally, keep in mind that certain layer types (such as groups and frames) will not be exported as separate layers in Photoshop. However, you can still access these layers by opening the exported PSD file in Adobe Illustrator.

In conclusion, yes you can export PSD files from Figma with some caveats to keep in mind. By following the steps above, you can ensure that your exported PSD file is correctly formatted for use in Photoshop.
