If you’re a web designer, then you’re probably familiar with Figma. Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool that’s become increasingly popular in recent years.

And if you’re a fan of Axure, then you might be wondering if it’s possible to import Figma files into Axure.

The short answer is yes, it is possible to import Figma files into Axure. However, the process is not as straightforward as you might hope.

In order to import a Figma file into Axure, you’ll need to use the ‘Export As’ function in Figma and export your file as an .AI (Adobe Illustrator) file. Once you have your .AI file, you can then import it into Axure using the ‘Import’ function.

So why not just export your Figma file as an .AXURE file? Unfortunately, Figma does not currently support exporting files as .AXURE files. This means that you’ll need to use the ‘Export As’ function and export your file as an .AI file first.

PRO TIP: Figma is a vector drawing program that is popular among UX designers. Axure is a prototyping program that is popular among web designers. Neither program can directly import the other’s files.

Once you have your .AI file, importing it into Axure is relatively simple. Just open your .AI file in Illustrator and then go to File > Import > Import to Library in Axure.

This will bring up a dialog box where you can select which pages or artboards from your .AI file you want to import into Axure. Select the pages or artboards that you want to import and then click ‘OK’.

And that’s all there is to it! With just a few simple steps, you can import your Figma files into Axure.
