There are a number of reasons why you might want to password protect your Wix website. Maybe you’re selling products or services and you want to create a members-only area. Or maybe you have sensitive information that you only want certain people to be able to see. Whatever the reason, Wix makes it easy to password protect any page on your site.

To password protect a page on your Wix site, simply go to the page you want to protect and click on the ‘Lock’ icon in the left-hand sidebar.

This will bring up a popup where you can enter a password for the page. Once you’ve entered a password, hit ‘OK’ and the page will be locked.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that while you can password protect individual pages on your Wix website, you cannot password protect your entire website. This means that anyone who has the URL to your website will be able to access it, regardless of whether or not they have a password. If you want to keep your website private, we recommend creating a members-only area instead.

Now, whenever someone tries to access that page, they’ll be prompted to enter the password. If they don’t know the password, they won’t be able to see the page. You can also choose to password protect your entire site, which will require visitors to enter a password before they can even see your home page.

So if you’re looking to keep your Wix site private or secure, password protection is a great option. It’s quick and easy to set up, and it’ll make sure that only the people who should have access to your site are able to see it.
