Can You Put Audio on Squarespace?

Yes, you can put audio on Squarespace! Here’s how:

First, create a new page or edit an existing one. In the content editor, click the “Insert” drop-down menu and select “Audio.”

This will open up a new window with your audio options. You can either upload an MP3 file from your computer, or use an audio URL.

If you’re using an audio URL, you can enter the URL of the file here. Make sure to include the http:// or https:// before the URL, or Squarespace won’t be able to find the file.

Once you’ve selected or entered your audio file, you can add a title and description. These are optional, but can be helpful for visitors to understand what they’re listening to.

Click “Insert Audio” when you’re done and your audio player will be added to the page!

You can also style your audio player using HTML. For example, if you want your player to be centered on the page, you can wrap it in a <p> tag with the align attribute set to “center”:

Your audio player goes here.

PRO TIP: If you are thinking about adding audio to your Squarespace website, there are a few things you should know first. While Squarespace does allow you to upload audio files, there are some limitations to how they can be used. For example, you can’t set audio files to play automatically when a page loads, or create a playlist of multiple files. Additionally, Squarespace doesn’t currently offer any way to sell or distribute audio files through its platform. If you’re looking to add audio to your website, you may want to consider using a third-party service such as SoundCloud or Bandcamp instead.

You can also change the color of the player using HTML. The color is controlled by the “color” attribute in the

<audio color=”#FF0000″>Your audio player goes here.</audio>

So there you have it – with a little bit of HTML knowledge, you can customize your Squarespace audio players to match your site’s design!
