Can You Redirect Squarespace Page to Another Website?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 7:59 am

There are a couple different ways that you can redirect a Squarespace page to another website. One way is to use an External Link in the Page Settings. This will allow you to link to another website from your Squarespace page, and can be useful if you want to link to something like a PDF or a different website.

To set up an External Link:

1. Go to the Pages section of your Squarespace website. 2. Select the page that you want to add the external link to. 3.

In the Page Settings, scroll down to the External Link section. 4. Enter the URL of the website that you want to link to in the External Link field. 5. Save your changes.

Your external link will now be live on your Squarespace page!

PRO TIP: If you are planning to redirect your Squarespace page to another website, be aware that there are some potential risks involved. There is a chance that your page could be lost or that the redirected website could be unavailable. Additionally, if you do not take the time to set up the redirect properly, you may end up with broken links on your page.

Another way that you can redirect a Squarespace page is by using a Redirect. Redirects can be useful if you want to redirect an old page URL to a new page URL, or if you want to redirect a URL that is no longer live on your website.

To set up a Redirect:

1. Select the Redirects option from the left-hand menu.

Click on the +New Redirect button. Enter the old URL in the From field and the new URL in the To field.

Your redirect will now be live on your Squarespace website!

Conclusion: You can redirect a Squarespace page to another website by using either an External Link or a Redirect. External Links are useful for linking to things like PDFs or other websites, while Redirects are useful for redirecting old URLs or URLs that are no longer live on your website
