Can You See Version History in Figma?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 9:29 pm

If you’re working on a design project in Figma, you may be wondering if there’s a way to view the version history of your work. The answer is yes!

To view the version history of a file in Figma, simply click the “File” menu at the top of the window, then select “Version History.” This will bring up a list of all the previous versions of your file, along with the date and time each version was created.

PRO TIP: If you are working on a Figma file with other people, be aware that anyone can see the version history of the file. This means that if someone makes a change to the file that you don’t like, you can’t simply revert back to an earlier version – everyone will be able to see that you did this.

You can also use the “File > Revert to > Version” menu option to revert your file back to a previous version. Simply select the version you want to revert to from the list, and Figma will automatically make all the changes for you.

So there you have it! Now you know how to view the version history of your Figma files, and how to revert back to previous versions if needed.
