Can You Send Emails From Wix?

Last updated on January 3, 2023 @ 2:40 am

You can certainly send emails from Wix! In fact, Wix makes it easy to do so. There are a few different ways to go about it, but we’ll walk you through the process step by step.

First, log into your Wix account. Then, click on the “Add” button in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. A drop-down menu will appear; from there, select “More.”

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

On the next page, scroll down until you see the “Email” icon. Click on it and then click “Add to Site.”

Now, you’ll be taken to a page where you can set up your email. First, you’ll need to choose a name for your email address.

Something like “info@yourcompanyname.com” would work well. Once you’ve chosen a name, enter it in the “Email Address” field.

Next, you need to select a password for your email account. Make sure it is something strong that you will remember! Then, enter it in the “Password” and “Confirm Password” fields.

The next step is to select an outgoing mail server. Wix provides a few different options, but we recommend using Google Mail (SMTP). To do so, simply click on the “Google Mail (SMTP)” option.

PRO TIP: Can You Send Emails From Wix?

Sending emails from Wix is not recommended as it can result in your account being suspended or even banned. This is because Wix does not allow its users to send mass emails and considers it to be spam. If you must send emails from Wix, be sure to use a third-party service such as MailChimp or Constant Contact which are designed for sending mass emails.

On the next page, enter your Google Mail credentials in the appropriate fields. If you don’t have a Google Mail account, you can create one for free by clicking on the “Create a new Google Mail account” link.

Once you have entered your Google Mail credentials (or created a new account), click on the “Log In” button.

You will be taken to a page where you can set up your outgoing mail server settings. First, enter “smtp.gmail.com” in the “Server Name” field.

Next, enter 465 in the “Port Number” field.
