As a business owner, you may have considered setting a minimum order quantity (MOQ) for your products. Whether you’re selling physical goods or services, setting an MOQ can be a great way to manage your inventory and ensure that your customers are getting what they need. But can you set a minimum order quantity in Squarespace?

The short answer is yes, you can set a minimum order quantity in Squarespace. You can do this by creating a custom product field for your products and adding a minimum order quantity rule to your checkout settings. This will ensure that your customers cannot checkout unless they meet the minimum order quantity for your products.

PRO TIP: If you are considering setting a minimum order quantity (MOQ) for your Squarespace store, be aware that there is currently no way to enforce this MOQ. Any customer will be able to add any number of items to their cart, regardless of your MOQ.

To create a custom product field for your minimum order quantity, go to the Products page in your Squarespace account and click on the product you want to edit. Then, click on the “Custom Fields” tab and create a new field called “Minimum Order Quantity.” You can then set the minimum order quantity for each product in this field.

Once you’ve created the custom product field, go to the Checkout Settings page in your Squarespace account and scroll down to the “Order Rules” section. Here, you can add a new rule that says “The minimum order quantity for all products must be X.” You can then set the minimum order quantity in this rule.

With these steps, you can easily set a minimum order quantity for your products in Squarespace. This can help you manage your inventory and ensure that your customers are getting what they need.
