Can You Take Payments on Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 5:53 am

You can take payments on Squarespace in a few different ways. You can use their built-in payment processing system, or you can integrate with a third-party processor like PayPal or Stripe.

If you use Squarespace’s built-in payment processing system, you can accept credit and debit cards, as well as ACH bank transfers. You’ll pay a 2.9% + $0.30 transaction fee for each credit or debit card payment, and a 1% fee for ACH bank transfers.

There’s no monthly fee or set-up fee to use this payment processing system.

PRO TIP: Squarespace is not a payment processor and cannot accept payments on behalf of its users. Users must set up their own payment processing account with a third-party provider in order to accept payments on their Squarespace website.

If you want to use a third-party processor like PayPal or Stripe, you’ll need to sign up for an account with them first. Once you’ve done that, you can add their payment button to your Squarespace site.

You’ll pay the usual transaction fees that come with using these processors (typically 2.30 per transaction).

So, can you take payments on Squarespace? Yes!

You have a few different options to choose from, and all of them are fairly easy to set up. Just decide which one is right for you and your business, and you’ll be accepting payments in no time.
