You can time animations in Canva by using the Timeline feature. With Timeline, you can add, delete, and rearrange frames to control the order and timing of your animation. To access Timeline, click on the Animation tab in the top left corner of the Canva editor.

You can manually type in or use the slider to adjust the timing of your animations. You can also toggle on an icon to apply identical timings and animations to all your pages. Best of all, you can choose a variety of animation style presets by Canva to add to your page frame animations.

And with Timeline, you can add or delete frames, and rearrange them to control the order and timing of your animation. To add a frame, click on the “+” icon in the bottom left corner of the Timeline. To delete a frame, click on the “-” icon. Similarly, you can also use the tools at the top of each page frame. Use the duplicate icon to copy, the delete icon to discard, and the add new icon to add an animated page.

PRO TIP: Canva does not currently have a tool to time animations. Animations must be manually placed and timed in the order that you would like them to appear. This can be time-consuming and may not always produce the results you are hoping for.

To rearrange frames, click and drag a frame to a new position. The other frames will automatically adjust to make room. You can also use the “Arrange” buttons in the top left corner of the Timeline to send a frame forward or backward. Alternatively, you can use the arrow up and down to move or change the position of the page frame. Otherwise, use the lock icon to lock the position of the page animations in place.

Timeline is a great way to control your animation and make sure it’s just how you want it. With Timeline, you can add, delete, and rearrange frames to create the perfect animation.
