Can You Use Other Fonts in Squarespace?

There are a few different ways that you can change the fonts on your Squarespace website. The first way is to use the Fonts drop-down menu in the Style Editor. Here, you can select from a list of pre-installed fonts, or you can upload your own custom fonts.

If you want to use a font that’s not on the list, you can upload it as a custom font. To do this, first find the font file on your computer.

Then, in the Style Editor, click the “Custom Fonts” tab and click the “Upload Fonts” button. Select the font file from your computer and click the “Open” button. Once the font is uploaded, you’ll be able to select it from the “Custom Fonts” drop-down menu.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, you can end up with a Squarespace website that looks like a child’s plaything, with a mishmash of fonts that clash horribly. Use font pairing tools to ensure your fonts work well together, and always preview your changes before publishing them.

You can also style text using HTML code. To do this, simply surround the text that you want to style with the appropriate HTML tags.

For example, if you want to make some text bold, you would surround it with <b> tags. If you want to make some text italicized, you would surround it with <i> tags. And if you want to underline some text, you would surround it with <u> tags.

So, if you want to use a font that’s not on the list of pre-installed fonts, you can either upload it as a custom font or style it using HTML code.
