Does Figma have a grid?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 6:40 pm

Figma does have a grid, although it is not as visible as in other drawing programs. When you create a new drawing, Figma creates a grid for you automatically.

You can toggle the grid on and off by clicking on the Grid button in the Tools panel.

PRO TIP: Figma does not have a grid system built in, so you will need to create one yourself or use a third-party plugin.

While the grid is turned off, you can still use the ruler to measure distances and angles. When the grid is turned on, the ruler snaps to the grid when you drag it.

If you are working on a large project, it can be helpful to turn on the grid and use the ruler to help you keep your drawings accurate. However, you can also use the grid without the ruler if you want.

Just make sure that you are aware of the grid when you are drawing.
