Does Figma Have Hotspots?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 10:22 pm

Designers have been using Figma for a while now, and there’s no doubt that it’s a powerful tool. But one thing that has always been a bit of a mystery is how to use hotspots in Figma.

A hotspot is simply an area of your design that you can click on or interact with. In Figma, hotspots are used to create clickable areas in your designs, which can be helpful for prototyping.

To create a hotspot in Figma, you first need to select the object that you want to make clickable. Then, go to the menu bar and click on ” Hotspot.” This will open up the Hotspot settings panel.

PRO TIP: Figma does not currently have support for hotspots. This means that if you try to use hotspots in your design, they will not work as expected.

In the Hotspot settings panel, you can choose how you want your hotspot to behave. You can make it so that clicking on the hotspot will take the user to another page, or you can make it so that clicking on the hotspot will trigger an action, like playing a video.

Once you’ve chosen how you want your hotspot to behave, all you need to do is click on the “Create Hotspot” button and your hotspot will be created!

So does Figma have hotspots? Yes! And they’re actually quite easy to use once you know how.
