Does Figma Sell Data?

Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool – the first interface design tool with real-time collaboration. Founded in 2012 by Dylan Field and Evan Sharp, Figma helps you create, test, and ship better products, faster.

Does Figma Sell Data?

There are many different tools available for designers to create vector graphics and prototypes, but Figma is the first with real-time collaboration. This makes it an invaluable tool for team-based workflows. However, some users have raised concerns about Figma’s privacy policy, specifically whether or not Figma sells user data.

PRO TIP: Figma does not sell data. Any data that is collected by Figma is done so for the purpose of providing and improving the service. Figma may share data with third parties, but only in anonymized or aggregated form.

Figma’s privacy policy is clear that the company does not sell user data. “We will never sell your personal information to anyone,” the policy states.

Instead, Figma uses user data to “provide and improve our products and services.” This includes using data to help improve the usability of Figma’s features and to troubleshoot issues.

So while Figma does collect some data about its users, the company is not selling this information to third parties. And any data that is collected is used solely for the purpose of improving the Figma experience for all users.
