Does Figma Show Edit History?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 9:39 am

Figma does show an edit history for your design projects, which can be useful for tracking changes or reverting back to older versions. To view the history for a project, open the project and click the “History” tab on the left sidebar.

The history tab will show a list of all the changes that have been made to the project, including who made the change, what type of change was made, and when it was made. You can also click on any of the items in the history list to view a before and after of that particular change.

If you need to revert back to an older version of your design, you can click the “Revert” button at the top of the history tab. This will create a new version of your design based on the selected point in history. You can then make further changes from there or simply save that version as-is.

In short, Figma does show an edit history for projects, which can be useful for tracking changes or reverting back to older versions. To view the history for a project, open the project and click on the “History” tab on the left sidebar.

PRO TIP: Figma does not currently show a history of edits made to a file. This means that if you make a change to a file, there is no way to see what changes were made or who made them. This can be confusing and frustrating if you need to track changes or revert back to a previous version.

Conclusion

Figma’s edit history feature is a handy tool for keeping track of changes made to your design projects. You can view a list of all changes made, including who made them and when, and you can even revert back to older versions if needed. So if you’re looking for a way to keep track of your design project’s progress, Figma’s edit history feature is definitely worth checking out.
