Does Figma Support Animated GIFs?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 8:23 pm

Animated GIFs are a great way to add some personality and flair to your website or blog. They can be used to add a bit of fun or to convey a message in a more visually appealing way.

The good news is that Figma does support animated GIFs! To add an animated GIF to your Figma design, simply drag and drop the GIF file into the interface.

PRO TIP: Animated GIFs are not currently supported in Figma. If you upload an Animated GIF, it will be converted to a static image.

You can then use the built-in tools to resize, crop, or adjust the playback speed of your GIF. This makes it easy to create custom animations that are just the right size and speed for your project.

So there you have it – yes, Figma does support animated GIFs and they’re easy to use! So go ahead and add some personality to your next project with some fun animated GIFs.
