Does Google Cloud have Mac OS?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 8:32 pm

Google Cloud does not currently have Mac OS support. However, with the announcement of the Google Cloud Platform for Mac, this may soon change. The Google Cloud Platform for Mac provides a fully managed platform for building cloud-based applications for Mac. This platform includes the Google App Engine platform, the Google Compute Engine platform, and the Google Container Engine platform.

PRO TIP: Although Google Cloud does have a Mac OS option, it is not recommended for use with sensitive or confidential information. Mac OS is generally considered to be less secure than other operating systems, so using it for Google Cloud may leave your data more vulnerable to attack.

The Google App Engine platform provides a set of APIs and tools for building web applications. The Google Compute Engine platform provides a set of APIs and tools for building scalable cloud-based applications. The Google Container Engine platform provides a set of APIs and tools for building portable cloud-based applications. With the Google Cloud Platform for Mac, developers can build applications that run on the Google Cloud Platform without having to worry about the underlying infrastructure.
