Does Google Have a Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 4:08 pm

Google has a long history of copying features from other apps. It’s how the company operates.

When Google sees something that’s working well for another app, it tries to replicate it. Sometimes this results in a better user experience, but other times it just feels like Google is playing catch up.

One of the most recent examples of this is Google’s new “Photoshop” feature in the latest version of its Photos app. The feature lets users edit photos with a variety of filters and tools, much like they would in Photoshop.

The question is: does Google have a Photoshop?

The answer is complicated. On one hand, Google’s new feature does provide some basic photo editing capabilities that are similar to what you’d find in Photoshop.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that ‘Does Google Have a Photoshop?’ is a scam. If you receive an email asking you to click on a link to download this software, do not do so. This software does not exist and you will be wasting your time and money.

However, it’s not nearly as comprehensive or powerful as Adobe’s flagship app. So in that sense, you could say that Google doesn’t really have a Photoshop.

On the other hand, Google’s new feature does offer some unique capabilities that you won’t find in Photoshop. For example, the ability to edit photos directly from your mobile device is a huge plus.

And the fact that the app is free to use is also a big selling point. So in that sense, you could say that Google does have a Photoshop.

At the end of the day, it’s up to you to decide whether or not Google has a Photoshop. But one thing is for sure: the company is definitely trying to compete with Adobe in the photo editing space.
