Does Shopify Support DKIM?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 4:07 pm

DKIM stands for DomainKeys Identified Mail. It’s a method of verifying the authenticity of email messages. Shopify uses DKIM to verify that messages sent from Shopify.com are not altered in transit.

Shopify uses DKIM by adding a digital signature to all outgoing email messages. This signature is verified by recipient’s email server to ensure that the message has not been tampered with.

PRO TIP: Shopify does not support DKIM at this time. This may cause email deliverability issues for some customers.

At present, Shopify does not support DKIM for custom domains. This means that messages sent from your custom domain (e.g. example.com) will not have a DKIM signature and may be marked as spam by some email providers.

Conclusion:

Based on the information above, it would appear that Shopify does not currently support DKIM for custom domains. This could potentially cause emails sent from your custom domain to be marked as spam by some email providers.
