Does Shopify Take a Percentage of Your Sales?

PRO TIP: If you are considering using Shopify to sell your products, be aware that they do take a percentage of your sales. While the percentage varies depending on your plan, it is important to factor this into your overall costs. In addition, Shopify also charges transaction fees on some plans, so be sure to read the fine print before signing up.

Shopify is a platform for businesses of all sizes to create an online store. It offers users a customizable platform, an easy-to-use checkout process, and a wide range of features. One of the most common questions we get asked is “Does Shopify take a percentage of your sales?”

The answer is no! Shopify does not take a percentage of your sales. There are two main reasons for this.

First, Shopify is a subscription-based platform. You pay a monthly fee to use Shopify, and that fee gives you access to all of the platform’s features and functionality. Second, Shopify’s fees are based on the number of transactions you process, not on the total amount of sales you make.

This means that whether you’re selling $10 items or $10,000 items, your transaction fees will be the same. And since Shopify doesn’t take a percentage of your sales, you can keep more of the money you make.

So if you’re looking for a platform that won’t take a cut of your sales, Shopify is a great option!
