Weebly is a popular website builder that allows users to create and design their own websites without having to learn coding. Weebly is simple to use and offers a variety of features, including e-commerce capabilities. One of the questions we often get asked is whether or not Weebly works with PayPal.

The answer is yes! Weebly is integrated with PayPal, which means you can accept payments on your Weebly site using PayPal. You can also use PayPal to pay for your Weebly Pro plan.

Here’s how to set up PayPal on your Weebly site:

  1. Log in to your Weebly account and go to the Edit Site tab.
  2. Click on the Settings icon and select Payments from the drop-down menu.
  3. Under the Accept Credit Cards section, click on the Change button next to PayPal. If you don’t see PayPal listed as an option, it means that it’s not available in your country.
  4. Enter your PayPal email address. This is the email address associated with your PayPal account. If you don’t have a PayPal account, you can sign up for one at www.PayPal.com.

You will also need to enter your API Username, API Password, and API Signature. These can be found in your PayPal account under the “My Account” > “Profile” > “API Access”. If you don’t see this option, it means that it’s not available in your country.

  1. (Optional) Enable Instant Payment Notification (IPN). This will ensure that you receive immediate notification of any payments made through PayPal. To do this, log in to your PayPal account and go to the “My Account” > “Profile” > “Instant Payment Notification Preferences”.Click on the “Choose IPN Settings”, enter the following URL in the “Notification URL”:
https://secure.Weebly.com/weebly/apps/paypal/ipn.php, and then click on the “Receive IPN messages (Enabled)”.
  2. Finally, click on the Save changes. You should now see a green checkmark next to PayPal in the “Accept Credit Cards” section of your Payments settings.
  3. (Optional) To accept recurring payments through PayPal, such as for subscription plans, you will need to enable Reference Transactions in your PayPal account settings under Profile > My Selling Tools > Block Payments > Update. After enabling Reference Transactions, log back into Weebly and go to Settings > Payments. Click on Change next to PayPal and select Yes next to Enable Reference Transactions. You should now see a green checkmark next to Recurring Payments in your Payment settings.(Note: If you are using an older version of Weebly, you will need to enter your API Username, API Password and API Signature into the Advanced Settings section. )
