Does Wix Allow Password Protected Pages?

Last updated on September 30, 2022 @ 11:58 am

Wix is a website builder that allows users to create and design their own websites. One of the features that Wix offers is the ability to password protect pages on your website.

This can be useful if you want to create a private area on your website for registered users only.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

To password protect a page on your Wix website, go to the page you want to protect and click the “Settings” icon. In the “Page Settings” window, click the “Password” tab and enter a password for the page. Once you’ve entered a password, click the “Save” button.

PRO TIP: No, Wix does not allow password protected pages. Any page on a Wix site can be accessed by anyone who has the link. If you want to create a private area on your site, you can create a members-only page. To do this, you will need to use a third-party members-only app.

Visitors to your website will now need to enter the password you set in order to view the protected page. Keep in mind that anyone who has the password will be able to view the page, so choose your passwords carefully.

If you want to remove password protection from a page, simply go back to the “Password” tab in the “Page Settings” window and delete the password. Save your changes and the page will no longer be protected.

Conclusion: Yes, Wix does allow password protected pages.
