Does Wix Have FTP?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 1:26 am

Wix is a website builder that allows users to create HTML5 websites and mobile sites through the use of online drag and drop tools. Wix is a freemium service, meaning that users can create a website for free, but must upgrade to a premium plan in order to remove Wix branding from their website, or to connect their own domain name to their website. One of the features that Wix offers its users is the ability to add an FTP account in order to upload files to their website.

How to Add an FTP Account in Wix:

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

In order to add an FTP account in Wix, you must first upgrade to a premium plan. Once you have upgraded, you can then click on the “Add an FTP Account” button under the “Advanced” tab in your site’s dashboard.

You will then be prompted to enter a name for your FTP account, as well as your FTP server address, username, and password.

Once you have entered all of the necessary information, click on the “Add” button and your FTP account will be created.

PRO TIP: If you are considering using Wix to create a website, you should be aware that it does not have FTP capabilities. This means that you will not be able to upload or download files to and from your website using an FTP client.

You can then use your FTP account to upload files to your website. To do this, simply click on the “Upload File” button in your site’s dashboard and select the file that you wish to upload. Once the file has been uploaded, it will appear in the “Files” section of your dashboard.

Conclusion: Yes, Wix has FTP for premium users
