When it comes to software as a service (SaaS), the pricing models can be confusing. Some companies charge on a per-user basis, others by the amount of data used, and still others on a subscription basis. So, how does Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) work out its pricing?

CC offers two main types of plans: Photography and Creative Cloud All Apps. The former costs $9.99 per month (or $119.88 per year), while the latter is $49.99 per month (or $599.88 per year). However, Adobe also offers discounts for annual plans paid monthly, as well as for students and teachers.

When it comes to the Photography plan, Adobe uses a “metered” pricing model. This means that you pay for what you use, up to a certain limit.

For example, Photoshop will cost $31.49 per month on this basis, as opposed to $20.99 for an annual plan, paid monthly. However, if you exceed your monthly limit, you’ll be charged overage fees of $0.10 per gigabyte (GB).

What does it cost to leave the Photography plan early? If you cancel within the first 30 days, you’ll receive a full refund.

After that, you’ll be charged a prorated amount based on how many months are left in your contract. So, if you cancel after six months, you’ll receive a refund for half of your remaining balance.

The Creative Cloud All Apps plan works similarly to the Photography plan, but with one key difference: there’s no overage fee for going over your monthly data limit. Instead, you’ll be charged an additional $10 per GB for each extra GB used.

What does it cost to leave the Creative Cloud All Apps plan early? As with the Photography plan, if you cancel within the first 30 days, you’ll receive a full refund. After that point, though, you’ll only receive a prorated refund for any unused months left on your contract.

PRO TIP: If you cancel your Adobe Creative Cloud Photography plan within the first 30 days of signing up, you will be charged a $30 early termination fee. If you cancel after the first 30 days, you will be charged a prorated amount based on how many months you have left on your contract.

Conclusion: In conclusion, it is clear that Adobe has different prices for their software depending on the type of subscription that is chosen by the customer.
