In Photoshop, the Move Tool is used to move, select, or reposition a layer or group of layers, selected pixels, or selections within an image. You can access the Move Tool by pressing the “v” key on your keyboard, or by selecting it from the Tools panel.

To move a layer or group of layers, simply click and drag them to the desired location. To move a selection, click and drag within the selection. To move individual pixels, click and drag on the image.

PRO TIP: The Move Tool in Photoshop can be activated by going to the ‘Edit’ menu and selecting ‘Free Transform’. However, before using this tool, it is important to make sure that the layer you wish to move is selected. Otherwise, you may accidentally move another layer and cause problems with your image.

If you want to precisely move a layer, selection, or pixel, you can use the arrow keys on your keyboard. Simply select the layer, selection, or pixel you want to move and then press one of the arrow keys. Each time you press an arrow key, the layer, selection, or pixel will move one pixel in that direction.

You can also use the Move Tool to nudge a layer, selection, or pixel. To do this, simply select the layer, selection, or pixel you want to nudge and then press and hold the “Shift” key on your keyboard. While holding down “Shift”, press one of the arrow keys to nudge the layer, selection, or pixel.
