How Do I Add a Basic Author to a Squarespace Blog?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 8:25 am

As a Squarespace user, you may want to add an author to a blog post. This can be done in two ways: by adding an author bio at the end of the post, or by adding an author name to the post’s metadata.

Adding an author bio is a good way to give credit to the person who wrote the post, and it can also help build trust with your readers. To add an author bio, simply scroll down to the end of the post and click on the “Add Author” button.

From there, you can enter the author’s name, bio, and website URL. The author bio will then appear at the end of the post.

PRO TIP: If you are not comfortable with HTML code, we recommend that you do not attempt to add an author to your Squarespace blog. Incorrectly adding code to your blog can cause serious problems, and you may not be able to recover your original content.

If you want to add an author name to the post’s metadata, you can do so by editing the post’s settings. To do this, click on the “Settings” button at the top of the post editor. Then, scroll down to the “Author” section and select the “Display Name” option.

Enter the author’s name in the “Name” field and click “Save.” The author name will then appear in the post’s metadata.

Conclusion:

Adding an author to a Squarespace blog post is a good way to give credit to the person who wrote it. There are two ways to do this: by adding an author bio at the end of the post, or by adding an author name to the post’s metadata.
