How Do I Add a Custom Font to My Squarespace Header?

Adding a custom font to your Squarespace header is a great way to add some personality to your website. There are a few different methods you can use to add a custom font to your header, and we’ll walk you through each one.

The first method is to use the Squarespace Fonts plugin. This plugin gives you access to over 600 Google Fonts, and you can use any of them in your header.

To install the plugin, simply head to the Plugins section of your Squarespace account and search for “Squarespace Fonts”. Once you’ve installed and activated the plugin, you can go to the Appearance > Fonts section of your WordPress dashboard to select a font for your header.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that adding a custom font to your Squarespace header may result in unexpected changes to the appearance of your website. If you are not comfortable with these changes, we recommend that you do not proceed with this customization.

Another method you can use to add a custom font to your Squarespace header is by using CSS. CSS is a code language that allows you to style HTML elements on your website. To add a custom font to your header using CSS, you’ll need to first find the code for the font you want to use.

You can find this code by searching for the font on Google Fonts and then clicking on the “Embed” tab. Copy the code that appears in the “Standard” section and paste it into the CSS editor in your Squarespace account. Once you’ve added the code, you can then use the CSS selector for your header element to style it with the new font.

The last method we’ll show you is how to add a custom font to your Squarespace header using an HTML tag. This method is similar to the CSS method, but instead of using CSS code, you’ll use an HTML tag. The first thing you need to do is find the code for the font you want to use. Copy the code that appears in the “Standard” section and paste it into the HTML editor in your Squarespace account. Once you’ve added the code, you can then use the HTML tag for your header element to style it with the new font.

All three of these methods are great ways to add a custom font to your Squarespace header. If you’re not sure which one to use, we recommend trying out all three methods and seeing which one works best for you.
