How Do I Add a Frame in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 11:10 pm

Adding a frame in Photoshop is a great way to add some flair to your photos. There are a few different ways to do this, and the best way will vary depending on the photo and the look you’re going for.

One way to add a frame in Photoshop is to use the “Stroke” layer effect. This will add a border around the layer that you can adjust the width, color, and other properties of. To use this effect, simply select the layer you want to add the frame to and click on “Layer > Layer Style > Stroke.”

PRO TIP: When adding a frame in Photoshop, be sure to use the correct size frame for your image. If the frame is too small, it will look out of proportion and may distort your image. If the frame is too large, it will overwhelm your image and make it difficult to see.

Another way to add a frame in Photoshop is by adding a solid color layer underneath the photo layer and setting the layer blend mode to “Multiply.” This will darken the edges of the photo and give it a nice frame.

Finally, you can also add a frame by creating a new layer and drawing on it with the Pen tool. This gives you complete control over the shape and size of the frame, but it does take a bit more time.

Which method you use is up to you, but all three are great ways to add a frame in Photoshop. Experiment with each one to see which works best for your needs.
