How Do I Add a Hyperlink in Squarespace?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 1:53 am

There are two ways to add hyperlinks in Squarespace. The first is to use the Link Block, and the second is to use inline linking.

To add a hyperlink using the Link Block:

1. Drag and drop a Link Block into your content area. 2. In the Link URL field, enter the URL you want to link to. This can be an external website or an internal page on your site. 3. In the Link Text field, enter the text you want to use for the link. This is what will be clickable. 4.

Click Apply.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with HTML code, we do not recommend adding a hyperlink in Squarespace. Incorrectly adding a hyperlink can result in broken code on your site that can be difficult to fix.

To add a hyperlink using inline linking:

1. Highlight the text you want to turn into a link and click the Edit button that appears above it. This will open the inline editor for that block of content. Click the Insert/edit link icon in the toolbar that appears at the top of the editor. In the URL field, enter the URL you want to link to and click OK.

In conclusion, there are two ways that you can add hyperlinks in Squarespace – by using either the Link Block or by inline linking. With both methods, you simply need to enter in the URL that you want to link to and then click Apply or OK in order to create the link.
