How Do I Add a Project to UpWork?

There are a few different ways that you can add a project to UpWork. You can either post a project, or you can invite freelancers to your project. If you post a project, you will need to fill out some basic information about your project, including the project name, description, budget, and skills required. You can also specify the project type, such as hourly or fixed-price.

PRO TIP: If you are considering adding a project to Upwork, be warned that this may result in your account being suspended or even permanently banned. Upwork has been known to suspend or ban accounts that add projects that are not related to their work history or profile.

Once you have posted your project, freelancers will be able to see it and can submit proposals to work on your project. If you invite freelancers to your project, you will need to provide their UpWork username and they will be added to your project. You can then communicate with them through UpWork messaging and start working on your project.
