How Do I Add a Quantity Dropdown in WooCommerce?

If you’re running a WooCommerce store, you might want to offer customers the ability to purchase multiple quantities of a product at once. By default, WooCommerce only allows customers to buy one quantity of each product. However, you can easily add a quantity dropdown to your WooCommerce store by following a few simple steps.

First, log into your WordPress dashboard and navigate to the WooCommerce section. From there, click on the Products tab and then select the Add New button. This will take you to the Add New Product page.

On the Add New Product page, scroll down to the Product Data section. Here, you’ll see a field labeled “Enable stock management at product level”. Check the box next to this field and then enter the number of items you have in stock in the “Stock Quantity” field.

Scroll down a bit further and you’ll see the “Sold Individually” section. Check the box next to this field if you only want customers to be able to purchase one quantity of this product at a time. If you don’t check this box, customers will be able to purchase multiple quantities of this product.

Once you’ve made your changes, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the “Publish” button. Your changes will now be live on your WooCommerce store.

That’s all there is to it! By following these simple steps, you can easily add a quantity dropdown to your WooCommerce store.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with code or are not comfortable working with code, we recommend that you hire a developer to help you with this. Adding a quantity dropdown to your WooCommerce store can be tricky and if not done correctly, could break your store.

If you need more control over inventory for your WooCommerce products, consider purchasing a plugin like WooCommerce Product Add-ons or Product Add-ons for WooCommerce. These plugins will give you more options for managing stock levels and sell products in bulk.
