How Do I Add a Script to Squarespace?

Last updated on December 11, 2022 @ 1:45 am

There are two ways to add a script to your Squarespace site. The first is to use the Code Injection feature in the Advanced Settings panel. The second is to upload a file to your site’s Assets panel.

To use the Code Injection feature, go to the Advanced Settings panel and scroll down to the Code Injection section. Here, you can add your script to the Header, Footer, or Order Confirmation Page.

Simply enter your code into the appropriate text box and click Save. Your code will be injected into the selected pages of your site.

To upload a file to your site’s Assets panel, go to the Assets panel and click the Upload Asset button. Select the file you wish to upload and click Open.

Once your file has been uploaded, you can find it in the list of assets. To embed your script, simply copy the asset’s URL and paste it into the code injection text box in the Advanced Settings panel.

That’s all there is to it! By following these simple steps, you can easily add a script to your Squarespace site.

PRO TIP: Adding a script to your Squarespace site can be done by following these steps:

1. In the Home Menu, click Settings, then click Advanced.
2. In the Code Injection area, add your code to the header or footer fields.
3. Click Save.

However, before adding any code to your Squarespace site, please be aware of the following:

– Code Injection is a powerful feature and should be used with caution.
– Adding code to your site can potentially break your site, so please make sure to backup your site before proceeding.
– Only add code that you trust. Squarespace cannot verify the safety of any code added to your site.
